Foundation English Course

We offer a two-week or four-week foundation level course for students who have had no previous exposure to the English language. This course is designed for total beginner students to introduce them to basic English language, vocabulary, structures and useful phrases. The course material includes a course book, companion book, workbook, handwriting book and an audio-visual pack including three audio disks and one DVD disk. Our learning system, materials and methodology really do help students get beyond the initial hurdles of language learning.

Students will begin at the very beginning and over the weeks as their confidence grows they will be introduced to more and more elements of the language.

Learning outcome

By the end of this course students should have a basic grasp of the English language. They should be able to count to 1000, know colours, times, days of the week. They will learn how to order food, and how to talk about themselves, their family and work, in a basic fashion.

Our dedicated teachers offer excellent student support and supervision and are always available to help students and provide them the encouragement they need at this crucial stage in their development.

On request, we can offer individual lessons tailored to students’ specific requirements.

Students have the use of the library and free hi-speed internet to help develop their English skills base.
